Transart is excited to receive your application for the MFA Creative Practice. Students applying by February 1st will be granted a substantial two-year partial scholarship.
We welcome your application if you:

- are a working artist (in any field) who is committed to developing a vital and sustainable artistic practice, while continuing to work from your home studio,

- want to add exhibitions, screenings, or performances of your work in Berlin and New York to your CV within the next two years,

- like to work independently but want to benefit from year-round support, including individual faculty advising, crit groups, and online exchange – as well as one-on-one reviews with artists, curators and theorists,

- are excited about the prospect of truly transforming your work in a multidisciplinary and international setting through annual 3-week summer residencies in Berlin and 1-week winter residencies in NYC.

Transart offers a unique low-residency experience in two of the most exciting creative cities in the world. Joining this program means becoming part of a network of faculty, students, and alumni who are distinctively collaborative, creative, and successful.

We will consider applications from students without a first degree who can show evidence of relevant professional experience. Students who have previous graduate-level coursework can apply credits towards advanced standing. Students who are interested in earning a practice-based PhD can apply for the fast-track after one-year on the MFA program.
