California College of the Arts (CCA) seeks applications for the 2016 academic year. With 13 program offerings, CCA provides a highly interdisciplinary community of scholars, artists, designers, and writers who are renowned in their field and offers graduate students a platform to experiment and expand their practices.

CCA offers graduate programs in:

Advanced Architectural Design (MAAD, a post-professional degree)
Comics (MFA)
Design (MFA)

CCA's graduate programs emphasize contemporary practice and theory. With intensive group and individual critiques, students gain significant tools to navigate their respective professional fields. Situated in the San Francisco Bay Area, one of the world's most progressive creative and technological centers, our graduate programs enhance their curricular offerings by engaging with outside cultural institutions, companies, organizations, and communities.

Each graduate program selects outstanding students for the prestigious graduate merit scholarships. These renewable annual scholarships, which range up to 42,000 USD, are open to all prospective graduate students who apply by the January 10 deadline.

Making the cost of graduate study manageable is crucial to CCA's mission. Financial aid is available to qualified US citizens and permanent residents. Eligible applicants should file, in conjunction with their CCA application, the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) starting January 1, 2016. CCA's federal school code is 001127.
