Perfect for emerging and diverse individuals looking to advance their artistic and curatorial skills. Through a series of talks, conversations, and presentations with professional curators, artists, and thinkers, and site visits to museums, galleries, studios, and alternative spaces, participants will be able to engage with the local art community and advance their careers as curators. This retreat focuses specifically on the Los Angeles’ art scene while participants develop transferable skills as a curator.

Located in New York's East Village, NYU Steinhardt's Department of Art and Art Professions serves as a vibrant site for artistic experimentation and intellectual exchange. B.F.A. and M.F.A. programs in Studio Art are interdisciplinary, and combine cultural theory with studio courses and facilities in painting, sculpture, photography, digital art and design, video, ceramics, and metalsmithing.
The Department's M.A. programs include Visual Arts Administration and Art Therapy. We offer an M.A. in Costume Studies, along with a dual-degree opportunity in Costume Studies and Library Science. We offer three Art + Education M.A. programs, including a new degree in Art, Education, and Community Practice.
