Perfect for emerging and diverse individuals looking to advance their artistic and curatorial skills. Through a series of talks, conversations, and presentations with professional curators, artists, and thinkers, and site visits to museums, galleries, studios, and alternative spaces, participants will be able to engage with the local art community and advance their careers as curators. This retreat focuses specifically on the Los Angeles’ art scene while participants develop transferable skills as a curator.

The MFA in Graphic Design program at Vermont College of Fine Arts has announced several new scholarships now available to incoming students. Applicants who would like to be considered for the following scholarships should contact the Director and complete their application for April enrollment by the priority scholarship consideration deadline of January 13, 2014.
VCFA Graphic Design scholarships: Design Merit Award: 1,000 USD scholarship renewable each semester of studyForm|Content|Craft Award: 2,000 USD incoming semester scholarshipThe Founder's Award: 1,500 USD incoming semester scholarship The low-residency MFA in Graphic Design at Vermont College of Fine Arts is a two-year graduate program. It spans five one-week residencies interspersed with four six-month semesters of independent study, working individually with a faculty adviser and leading design practitioner. Students in the program develop skills in form, content and craft; deepen and expand critical ability, and build new fluency in contemporary design discourse.
