Perfect for emerging and diverse individuals looking to advance their artistic and curatorial skills. Through a series of talks, conversations, and presentations with professional curators, artists, and thinkers, and site visits to museums, galleries, studios, and alternative spaces, participants will be able to engage with the local art community and advance their careers as curators. This retreat focuses specifically on the Los Angeles’ art scene while participants develop transferable skills as a curator.

The ICP-Bard MFA Program in Advanced Photographic Studies offers a rigorous exploration of all facets of photography through an integrated curriculum of studio and professional practice, critical study, and Resident Artist Projects. Visionary candidates join an international community of artists and educators. Students enrolled in the program participate in every aspect of creating, analyzing, and distributing images including curating exhibitions, publishing books, and organizing symposia and conferences. More than just an introduction to the art world, the program is an immersion in all aspects of today's visual culture.
