Erasmus+ EU programme for education, training, youth and sport

What is Erasmus+? Erasmus+ is the EU's programme to support education, training, youth and sport in Europe. It has an estimated budget of €26.2 billion. This is nearly double the funding compared to its predecessor programme (2014-2020). The 2021-2027 programme places a strong focus on social inclusion, the green and digital transitions, and promoting young people’s participation in democratic life. It supports priorities and activities set out in the European Education Area, Digital Education Action Plan and the European Skills Agenda. Aalto University School of Arts, Design and Architecture
Aalto University, located in the Helsinki metropolitan area in Finland, provides world-class education in the fields of art, technology and business. At the School of Arts, Design and Architecture, theory meets practice. The school focuses on learning through practical assignments and projects.

Education content in Master's programme in Photography
The studies emphasize photography as a means of independent and multidisciplinary arts expression and the development of conceptual thinking and research skills. The studies approach photography both from the academic perspective and through practice by providing courses on theory and research, practical skills and artistic expression.

Teaching languages are Finnish and English. Students may write their Master's theses in Finnish, Swedish or English.

The staff and students in the Master's programme in Photography form an academic creative community. International artistic activities and various photograph publication processes and platforms are core areas of the programme.
