Erasmus+ EU programme for education, training, youth and sport

What is Erasmus+? Erasmus+ is the EU's programme to support education, training, youth and sport in Europe. It has an estimated budget of €26.2 billion. This is nearly double the funding compared to its predecessor programme (2014-2020). The 2021-2027 programme places a strong focus on social inclusion, the green and digital transitions, and promoting young people’s participation in democratic life. It supports priorities and activities set out in the European Education Area, Digital Education Action Plan and the European Skills Agenda. The Department of Art at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) invites applicants for its Master of Fine Arts studio art program. Full fellowships plus stipend are awarded upon matriculation for the duration of our three-year program. 

The UNLV MFA is a three-year, research-based studio art program that uses a tutorial and seminar system as the primary basis for instruction. Graduate students come in direct contact with a diverse art/art history faculty whose work engages a variety of media, including sculpture, photography, painting/drawing, printmaking and cross-disciplinary studies. 

Las Vegas and region
UNLV is located in a diverse and dynamic metropolitan region home to 1.5 million people, with campus studios located minutes from the Las Vegas strip and McCarran International Airport, as well as the stunning surrounding desert environment including the Death Valley National Park and Valley of Fire. 

Visiting Artist fall lecture series
The annual fall lecture series invites seminal figures in contemporary art, including:
Robert Irwin, Doug Wheeler, Vito Acconci, Richard Prince, Larry Bell, Richard Flieschner, George Trakas, Mary Miss, Siah Armajani, Trevor Paglen, James Casebere, James Elkins, Dike Blair, David Pagel, Josiah  McHelheny, Matt Coolidge, Carrie Moyer, Anya Gallacio, Hrag Vartanian, Aram Moshayedi, Hugh M. Davies, Coy Howard, Philip Ursprung, Stanya Khan, Andrea Fraser, Kerry Tribe, James Welling, Robert Heinecken.        

Artist-in-Residence Program
Two eight-week residencies are scheduled each spring, with invited artists and art historians teaching under-graduate and graduate seminars. Previous residents include:
David Pagel, Jim Shaw, Josiah McHelheny, Erin Cosgrove, Doug Harvey, Stephen Frailey, Dike Blair, A.D. Coleman, Mathieu Gregoire, John Rappleye, Fay Ku, Cindy Bernard, Jim Skuldt.
